Grand Opening was in August 2008. The 18-hole, par-71 Lake Toxaway Country Club golf course winds 6,600 yards (from blue tees) through mountainous terrain that is worth the drive, even without a club in your hands. What makes this course challenging are narrow fairways and dramatic elevation changes that demand pinpoint accuracy. Additional strategic changes by Kris Spence created one of the finest golf courses in Western North Carolina.

With a strong background in courses designed by Donald Ross, Ellis Maples, and Alister MacKenzie, Spence has proven his understanding of strategic golf design, course maintenance, and player approaches to the game.

Tom Fazio Golf Learning Center

At our resort home in North Carolina, you can enjoy the 5,300 square-foot health and fitness center overlooks the new 20-acre Tom Fazio-designed driving range. The unique learning center range allows you to practice virtually any challenging shot you might face on the course. The center also houses a pro-shop that includes state-of-the-art swing analysis,training programs, and golf lessons available for purchase. Use of the learning center range is included in your tariff.

A temperate seasonal climate at our resort makes golf possible almost year-round. During select periods, your stay at The Greystone Inn includes complimentary golf greens fees. A nominal cart charge is not included.

May and September: Complimentary green fees with midweek stays.

April & November: Complimentary green fees with any stay, seven days a week.
