Lake Toxaway has accommodated discerning guests since the days when industrialists such as Henry Ford, Harvey Firestone and Thomas Edison visited in the early 20th century. Those days are locked in Lake Toxaway's history, but they do not compare to the splendor of the guest accommodations at the Greystone Inn today. Visitors may choose from three venues for guest accommodations including: The historic Greystone Mansion with 16 guest rooms, Hillmont with 12 guest rooms, and the Lakeside luxury suites.
The Greystone Mansion
Built in 1915 and carefully restored in 1985, Lucy Moltz’s home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a showplace of style and dignity. Each of the antique and period reproduction bedrooms has a distinctive character, and some include fireplaces, patios, and other charming touches. Mansion rooms in our NC resort are ideal for travelers seeking a warm and quaint bed & breakfast experience.
Hillmont
Added a few years after the inn opened, and located just a few steps away, this structure combines the modern comforts of today while blending the architectural style and furnishings of the historic Mansion. These rooms can be termed “Jr. Suites” and are designed for guests who prefer more modern and luxurious accommodations.
Lakeside Suites
The Lakeside building is adjacent to Hillmont and features two elegant suites. Each luxurious suite includes a king bed that can be closed off from the living area via panel doors, which is ideal for families or hosting friends in your suite. Additionally, the two suites have connecting doors on their screen porches.
Presidential Suite
Built as a private library by Lucy Moltz, this suite is like no other! The large fireplace, cathedral ceiling, and beautiful woodwork are sure to take you back to the early 1900s when the room was built. The suite includes a former study that has been converted to a small guest room with double bed bunk beds that is ideal if traveling with kids. Of course, the impressive size, fireplace and large Jacuzzi tub make it perfect for a romantic getaway for couples as well!

- Rates are based on double-occupancy. 3rd occupant fees are (0-3 yrs - Free), (4-6 yrs - $60), (7-10 yrs - $90), (11+ yrs - $120)
- A 17% service charge (in lieu of tipping) and state/occupancy taxes apply
- Weekend stays require both Friday & Saturday nights
